“COVID19 has attacked the most vulnerable — our seniors, our single mothers, our immigrant-owned businesses and families — but I’ve been blown away by the outpouring of love and support for them, and it gives me hope that we will emerge from this as a stronger, more united community.
— Rebekah

Rebekah Cohen Morris is a former public high school teacher who taught in both DeKalb and Gwinnett for the past ten years. Rebekah's mother is an immigrant, and she chose to live on Buford Highway because it seemed like the most natural place to live and raise a family. Rebekah has served alongside immigrant communities on Buford Highway, fighting for housing, immigration, and educational rights. She is currently a member of the Doraville City Council, and she is also studying law at GSU.

Because of COVID19, Doraville has seen many people lose their jobs and their ability to provide for their families; but Doraville has also seen unprecedented strength and generosity from so many residents and organizations as they have lent a hand to deliver food, assist with rent, or help with childcare.
